Interpretations of A Flexible God

Abstract

To explore faith dynamics of individuals, the artist has created a series of photographs and audio pieces for the exhibition Interpretations of A Flexible God. The audio pieces correlate to interviews conducted while researching others’ experiences with religion and faith. Gaining inspiration from the artwork of Alec Soth and Dryden Goodwin, these photographs and interviews explore the dynamics involved within each individual’s connection to faith. The interaction between the viewer and the subject becomes multidimensional and progressively more complex through the use of various media. Subsequently, private sound pieces accompany each portrait in order to share the knowledge collected from the interviewees.
